WHAT TO WEAR WITH A NAVY SKIRT

A navy blue skirt is possibly the easiest of the wardrobe staples to wear. Such a versatile piece it can be worn to the office with a shirt & pumps or vamped up with a silk cami & strappy heels for a special evening event.
Additionally, a chic yet casual look for Summer can be achieved with a simple white T-shirt & Greek sandals. Would you agree my case for adding this skirt to your hard working wardrobe is strong?
Speaking of which…

    Reasons to Dress (@reasonstodress)

I am so flattered by your wonderful words! And I LOVE THIS COMBO!! A woman that knows how to style complementary colours is lady of style in my book. I’m so proud to have you as the #reasonstodress linkup co-host this week! And I can’t wait to share you on social media throughout the next few days!

Hey Abby! These are probably the highest pair of shoes I own & every time I wear them I wonder how the hell I’ll walk in them. You know what? They are actually really easy to walk in! Weird?
Regarding my first time co-hosting a linkup – It’s so exciting! I was a little nervous about the technical side but Angie is a fantastic tutor & talked me through it step by step. Although I have to admit to a mini meltdown when I awoke to RCM crashed this morning. Wtf??? As you know the blog has been testing me technically recently in all manner of ways. Almost pulled my hair out at times – bald fashion blogger HAhahaha

    Michelle,
This post has highlighted a phenomenon that I knew existed but never really thought too much about.
    Until this moment.
Some people (especially women) just have a natural beauty.
    I mean, that effortlessness.
That delicate femininity that just oozes timeless style.
    You have that.
    In spades.

P.S Oh, and Navy and orange gets my colour-vote, every time :oD

Cor Blimey woman what an incredible thing to say! Thank you Samantha you’re very kind xxx
I see that beauty you’re talking about in all women – Is it because I’m a make up artist? Or… did I choose that particular career path because I see natural beauty in all women?
      I don’t know it’s a chicken & egg kinda question πŸ˜‰
I know one thing for sure, when a woman has self confidence she shines.

Hah… that is fun. Of course I will join you. Hobnobbing with the British for a change instead of the Americans or Canadians. I could so live in Great Britain, but I also love The Netherlands. How about winning the jackpot and buying a second home in GB??? A girl can dream…
Anyway… I think you look great in your orange with blue. You will turn heads. (Even though the shoes are fantastic, it must have been a little cold during the photo shoot haha.)

    Sheela Goh

I realised I’ve already gushed over this outfit in your IG feed, Michelle, but I do feel that it warrants a second fan-girl moment πŸ™‚ I honestly would never have thought of pairing navy with tangerine!! When I think the former, it’s almost always associated with either a warm pink or a zesty chartreuse πŸ™‚ so as clichΓ©d as it may sound, thank you for the inspiration. This is certainly something I’ll be experimenting with and soon xo

      retrochicmama

I have to agree Sheela pink is beautiful with navy. My problem is that pink doesn’t look good against my skin so I always avoid pink toned tops. I’m so pleased you got something from my post, that really is the best part of blogging xxx
