Is there anything more fresh & bright than statement sleeves & Spring stripes? Did I just quote Dr Seuss?
I don’t know about you but I’m stingin’ stripey right now! That’s a BEE Movie reference by the way. Moving on from all the pithy juvenile references, I truly cannot get enough of the cool, crisp vertical stripe at the moment. Any item of clothing, be it top, dress, skirt or pants (yes Greetje I’m saying pants now heehee) my eye is drawn to it. Have you seen how Johanna Ortiz does stripes? Oh be still my heart, I so adore this label. Let’s not get side-tracked although her florals are exquisite too. Gimme gimme gimmeeee
On reflection, I believe there’s a direct link to being a bit o-v-e-r seeing Spring florals everywhere. I seem to pull out my light bright stripes around this same time every year, go figure…

No doubt you’ll see me re-work this striped shirt dress before too long. It’s such a versatile piece that I’ve not even touched the surface on the many ways to #REwear it. Speaking of which, please help me shine a light on this topic by using the hashtag above when you post an item of clothing that you’ve worn before? I’d love to make re-wearing our own clothes something to be proud of as opposed to something embarrassing. By using our personal creativity we can re-style anything we already own or even simply wear it again! Why not? Indeed I rather look forward to wearing my extra special pieces over again. Plus it’s exciting when the cost per wear keeps going down, I can actually justify the purchase. Hey it’s a valid argument people!

I love this outfit: the top with the great sleeves and the fun trousers. What keeps surprising me, is that flat tummy of yours. How ever do you do it?
Acne is a very good brand. I have a few items of them and I do use them over and over again (which will please you, right?)
And eh.. “pants”? I cannot do it, I keep saying trousers, but I suppose one has to adjust.

I’m going to tell you a very sad story Lisa, are you sitting down?
At the end of this day I was back at home having a cup of tea minding my own business when there was a knock at the door. A lady in a helmet said I think your dog is loose, I just saw him run out of your garage, down the street towards highway 17.
The little bugger had got out! So off I ran through the trees, to cut through quickly to the 17 before he was mushed by the speeding traffic. Luckily for him & the children I grabbed him just in time. Unluckily for me & my awesome Acne trousers though. Caught on a branch & bloody ripped! Seriously I could’ve killed that damn dog myself…
I may not recover to be honest, love these pants.
